People Overview

Our people are our most valuable resource. Led by a team of world class researchers and research collaborators the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) is defining new frontiers in product development. The BDDC team is directed at the top by Drs. Amar Mohanty and Manjusri (Manju) Misra as the principal investigators.

The team is comprised primarily of Post Doctoral Fellows who conduct the day-to-day research activities under the guidance of the prinicipal investigators. Other key personnel at the BDDC are      Dr. Terry Daynard, Bioproducts Executive Development Officer and Mr. Bo Yin, Plastics Processing Technician.

The BDDC is also a learning centre and as such the team contains a number of Graduate Students and Undergraduate Students. Through the mentorship of the BDDC senior members these students are molded into our future researchers in the Bioproducts industry.

Of course we cannot forget those members of the BDDC who have moved on to make their mark in the bioproducts industry. Visit our alumni page to see where they are now and what they are accomplishing in the world bioproducts. Since the centre has only been opened since October, 2008 we currently do not have alumni of the centre, but check back for future reference as our graduate, undergraduate students and post docs move on to new careers in the field of bioproducts.
