The Bioproducts Discovery & Development Centre is a hive of activity. We receive visitors from many groups on a regular bases to see the centre and the research we are conducting. Please check back to see some of our visitors.

 


Methes Energies Canada Inc. representatives visit the BDDC

Methes Energies Inc. is a biodiesel company with its corporate headquarters in Brooklyn, U.S.A and its Canadian production facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Methes Energies specializes in the development Biodiesel processors, such as the Denami 600.

Representatives of Methes Energies visited the BDDC laboratory on June 30, 2009 to view the laboratory facilities and to discuss the research the BDDC is conducting in the development of biodiesel and the use of biodiesel co-products.

GreenField Ethanol Inc. representatives visit the BDDC

GreenField Ethanol Inc. is Canada’s largest ethanol fuel producer with an annual production of 450 million litres. Currently, Greenfield ethanol is sold at 1,300 gas stations, helping to reduce automotive greenhouse gas emissions, while also reducing fuel costs for consumers.
On July 3, 2009, the BDDC was delighted to host representatives of Greenfield Ethanol to view the BDDC facilities and the centres on-going bio-products research.

Alumni Weekend

On June 20, 2009 University of Guelph alumni, family, and friends visited the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) as part of the University of Guelph Alumni Weekend 2009. The guests were invited to take a tour the BDDC laboratory to view the facilities and see the research the centre is conducting.
